Mulagooshyam

Ingredients:-

Vegetables required:-
Raw banana - 1/4 of a big one
White pumpkin - a small bit
Barbati (long beans) - about 6 nos
Snake guard - a small piece
Sweet potato - a small pcs.
Senai - a small bit
Avarakkai - abt. 6-8 nos.

Other ingredients:-
Moong dhal (lightly roasted) - 3 tbsp. (abt.75-90 gms)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
Pepper / Jeera Powder - 1 tsp.
Green chillies - 1- 2 nos.
Red chillies - 1 no.
Hing powder - 1/4 tsp.
Coconut milk powder - 2 tbsp.
Coconut oil -  1-2 tsp.
Curry leaves.

Cut all the vegetables into small cubes.  
Put the dhal for cooking with sufficient water.
When the dhal is half cooked, wash vegetables and put into the dhal.
Cover with water till it is a over and above  the vegetables.
Add  the turmeric powder, pepper / jeera powder, hing powder, slit the green chillies
and add it to the vegetables, break the red chilly into two and put that in too. 
Keep covered and cook on medium fire till dhal and vegetables are well cooked.
Mix the coconut milk powder in cold water and add it to the cooked vegetables.
Let simmer for a while.  Finally put in pinched curry leaves and raw coconut oil.
Mix well.  

Serve with hot rice or chapathis.
